Useful Short-cuts Of 3ds Max


If you are working with 3ds max it's pretty hard to work without shortcuts or hot keys.

Why short-cut keys?

      Because short-cut keys saves your time more than 25%.


Without further a do let's get started.

Basics

  • Select :- Q
  • Move :- W
  • Rotate :-E
  • Scale:-R

Editable poly

  • Vertices:- 1
  • Edge:- 2
  • Ring :- 3
  • Faces:-4
  • Elements :-5  
  • Select neither :- 6
  • Hold Shift then drag :- Clone mesh
  • Shift+Click :-Select loop

Dialog boxes

  • F1 :- Help
  • F9 :- Render current frame
  • F10 :- Render settings
  • 0 :- Render to texture
  • 8 :- Environment and effects
  • F12:- Transform

Tools

  • S :- Snap toggle
  • A :- Angle snap toggle
  • Ctrl(command on mac)+V :-Clone
  • Alt+B :-Background
  • Ctrl(command on mac)+C :- Create a camera of activated view-port
  • Alt+Q :- Turn on/off isolate mood 
                                                      I often use those hot keys and it helps me to make my 3d models better.
