In my computer it takes about 2 mins to medium quality render if you have a powerful workstation it won't take more than 30 secs.

I-phone rendering in 3ds max

                                                            In this tutorial,I'm going to teach you that how to render an "I-Phone" via 3ds max and mental-ray.First of all download the 3d model by this link...

                                                             Then import it to 3ds max and to make "mental-ray" as the render follow these steps.Rendering>Render setup>Common tab>Assign Render(sub-menu)>Hit the first "..." button and select "mental-ray" from the list.
                                                                     Open up the material editor by pressing "M" key.Then press standard button and select arch and design material preset from the "mental-ray" sub list.
                                 After doing that change settings to these numbers.Make sure that you've changed main color to Wight.Then apply it to the phone.Make another arch and design material with black color and Reflectivity is "1.0".When you are finished add it to necessary places.So your model should look like this.

Make your product realistic with 3ds max

                                                      First of all open 3ds max.Press F10 to open render setup, in common tab scroll down to assign renderer and select "Mental-ray".

                                                          Import your object or product which wants to be rendered.Press M to open material editor.Press standard button and pick arch and design" preset.Then select your material type from select template button.Click and drag the matereial slot to the object to add the material to that object.(If the requested template is not in the list you can use a material from autodesk material library.A&D and library materials are physically accurate)
                             
                          Note:-If you have more that one object in the scene from deference materials  you have to put deference materials form deference slots.

                                                         close the material editor and create a object like this
